ROME, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Leonardo's Chief Executive, Roberto Cingolani, met with the head of Airbus, a French peer, on Tuesday to explore potential partnerships in the satellite industry.
"We are in talks about a satellite alliance with Airbus and Thales," Cingolani mentioned during a conference, noting a prior meeting with the Airbus CEO in Rome earlier that day.
Last summer, Cingolani confirmed that discussions were underway between the Italian aerospace and defense company and France's Airbus and Thales regarding space collaborations.
