JPMorgan Chase announced on Tuesday that Curtis Reed has been appointed as the head of the largest U.S. lender's government banking and healthcare, higher education, and not-for-profit banking divisions. With over two decades at the bank, Reed most recently managed middle market banking in the Chicago area. He will now report to Melissa Smith, who leads the specialized industries sector in commercial banking.

Brian Page has been appointed to oversee government banking, while Melissa Bastan will lead the healthcare sector, alongside higher education and not-for-profit banking, under Reed's direction.

The bank provides financial services to various sectors, including state and local governments, school districts, transit authorities, hospitals, and not-for-profit organizations nationwide. In 2023, JPMorgan extended $6 billion in credit to these institutions.

JPMorgan achieved record-breaking performance as its financial activities thrived in the recovering markets during the fourth quarter. Furthermore, its commercial and investment banking revenue reached an all-time high last year.
