Japan Launches New Flagship Rocket to Enhance Navigation Satellite for Improved Positioning System

Japan has successfully launched a navigation satellite using its new H3 rocket to enhance its positioning system. The H3 rocket, transporting the Michibiki 6 satellite, took off from the Tanegashima Space Center. Japan aims to deploy two additional navigation satellites by March 2026, expanding the system to seven satellites. This mission marked the fourth consecutive successful launch for the H3 system following an earlier unsuccessful try.
