Italy's Leonardo and TechnoAlpin Partner for 2026 Olympics

Italy's aerospace and defense company Leonardo will provide communication systems for the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, as announced in a joint statement with the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation.

Under this partnership, Leonardo will supply radio and multi-technology communication systems to coordinate events and operations across the extensive northern Italian venue.

Leonardo CEO Roberto Cingolani stated that the company is supporting a project that enhances Italy's international image while promoting the universal values of sport.

Additionally, the organizers have signed a commercial partnership with TechnoAlpin, an artificial snow-making company based in Bolzano. TechnoAlpin will supply snow-making machines to the organizing committee, a service it also provided for the last Winter Olympics in Beijing.

TechnoAlpin CEO Erich Gummerer remarked that the partnership showcases the company’s technological expertise and commitment.

The Olympics will be jointly hosted by Milan and the Alpine resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo next February, with five other locations designated for competition. The Paralympics are scheduled for March 2026.
