Islamic Extremist Motive Identified in Munich Car-Ramming Attack

A car-ramming incident in Munich has left at least 36 people injured and is being investigated as an Islamic extremist attack, confirmed by authorities who deem it intentional. Gabriele Tilmann, a senior public prosecutor, stated that the 24-year-old suspect confessed to deliberately driving into the crowd. The suspect, identified as a 24-year-old Afghan national, is charged with attempted murder and has no previous criminal record, as per the police. Deputy Chief of Police Christian Huber reported that eight individuals, including a child, sustained serious injuries in the assault.
