Infosys Resolves Lawsuits Against US Unit Regarding Cyber Incident for $17.5 Million

On March 14, Infosys, an Indian IT services provider, announced that it had reached an agreement with the plaintiffs of lawsuits filed against its U.S. unit regarding a cyber incident in 2023.

Infosys McCamish Systems has agreed to pay $17.5 million into a fund to settle all pending class action lawsuits and address all allegations related to the incident. Earlier, Infosys disclosed that Infosys McCamish Systems had been affected by a cyber security event, leading to the unavailability of certain applications and systems.

In April of the previous year, working with third-party vendor eDiscovery, Infosys McCamish identified up to 6.5 million individuals whose information was compromised through unauthorized access and data exfiltration during the incident.
