Three additional Israeli hostages were recently freed by Hamas and transferred to the Red Cross in a carefully orchestrated event in Gaza's Deir al-Balah region.
Eli Sharabi, Ohad ben Ami, and Or Levy had been captured during the attacks on 7th October and had been detained in Gaza for 16 months.
In return, Israel has initiated the release of around 180 Palestinian prisoners who were held in Israeli prisons.
These releases are occurring within the framework of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which became effective on 19th January.
