A global study conducted by Omdia revealed that 80% of manufacturing companies experienced a surge in security incidents last year, yet only 45% were adequately prepared for cyber threats. Cyber-to-Physical security breaches constituted 75% of these incidents, with affected firms facing costs between US$200,000 and US$2 million.

The study also highlighted that 51% of North American manufacturers are planning to outsource IT/OT security services within the next 18 months due to a lack of qualified personnel. Cyber attacks resulted in downtime costs ranging from US$200,000 to US$2 million, significantly impacting resilience and operational availability.
