Gino D'Acampo's upcoming shows have been pulled from ITV's schedule following allegations of inappropriate and intimidating behavior on set. An ITV spokesperson informed BBC News that the Friday night episode of Family Fortunes on ITV2 has been replaced by Wheel of Fortune, and that Sunday's two episodes of Secrets of the South are no longer in the ITVBe schedule.
According to an ITV News report released on Thursday, multiple individuals accused D'Acampo of making "unacceptable," "distressing," and "horrendous" remarks. D'Acampo, through his legal team, refuted the allegations stating they were "deeply upsetting."
The 48-year-old chef and TV personality has been a fixture on UK television since the early 2000s, predominantly on ITV cooking and travel shows and occasional appearances on other entertainment programs, including the BBC. Current programming on ITV's linear schedule does not include any content featuring D'Acampo; however, some of his shows are still accessible on ITVX, the network's streaming service.
Notably, a new series of Family Fortunes, recorded in October 2023, has yet to be aired, with no immediate plans for its broadcast. A statement from D'Acampo's representatives to ITV News denied the allegations, emphasizing his commitment to professionalism and expressing deep distress at the insinuation of impropriety.
ITV highlighted its updated policies in collaboration with production companies over the past few years, underlining the expectation of high standards and robust care for all individuals involved in their programs. The broadcaster indicated its stance against any inappropriate or unacceptable behavior, noting that actions have been taken upon receiving concerns or complaints, even if they were not reported to ITV at the time.
