A deadline for German antitrust authorities to potentially grant initial approval for Italy's UniCredit to acquire a significant stake in Germany's Commerzbank is set for April 14, according to a spokesperson for the regulator.
Last month, UniCredit submitted its request for approval to the German authorities. Earlier on Wednesday, the CEO of the Italian bank indicated that the authorization process is currently ongoing.
