A star-studded lineup is scheduled to perform at two venues in Los Angeles on Thursday for a benefit concert aimed at aiding the area's recovery from two of its largest fires on record.
Over 20 artists from various genres are set to perform at the FireAid benefit show, simultaneously held at two major venues in the city.
Scheduled performers include Sting, P!nk, Lil Baby, Rod Stewart, Lady Gaga, and Earth, Wind & Fire, alongside artists with ties to LA like Billie Eilish, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and No Doubt.
Proceeds from the concert and donations during the event will be allocated towards community rebuilding and fire prevention efforts in the region.
The fires that occurred in early January resulted in approximately 30 casualties, and the destruction of over 10,000 homes and businesses.
The concerts will take place at the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome, occurring on Thursday evening, with staggered performances of two to four songs by each artist.
At Intuit Dome, performers will include Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Tate McRae, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Performers at the Kia Forum will include Alanis Morissette, Anderson .Paak, Dawes, Graham Nash, Green Day, John Fogerty, Joni Mitchell, No Doubt, P!nk, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, the Black Crowes, and John Mayer.
Although Dave Matthews was slated to perform at the second show, he had to cancel last minute due to a "critical illness in the family".
The organizers have ensured that performances will be staggered and displayed on large screens in both arenas to keep the show flowing seamlessly.
Special guests are expected to appear, with a focus on individuals affected by the fires and the first responders who combated the blazes.
The concert will be streamed for free on various platforms and shown in select AMC and Regal theaters across the US.
The music will begin at 18:00 in LA (21:00 in New York, 02:00 Friday in the UK), with donations managed by the Annenberg Foundation for short-term relief efforts and long-term fire prevention projects.
Connie and Steve Ballmer, owners of the LA Clippers, Intuit Dome, and Forum, have committed to matching all donations made during the broadcast.
The devastating fires, which spread for miles, destroyed entire communities and leveled neighborhoods.
