Fire Ravages Tents at India’s Major Hindu Festival without Causing Injuries

A fire erupted at the Maha Kumbh Festival in Prayagraj, India, impacting at least 18 temporary tents, according to officials. The fire was triggered by the explosion of two gas cylinders in the Gita Press tent, confirmed by Akhara Police Station in-charge Bhaskar Mishra. Firefighters promptly extinguished the fire, and there have been no casualties or injuries reported, stated Prayagraj DM Ravindra Kumar. The Maha Kumbh Festival, known as the world's largest religious gathering, is projected to draw over 400 million attendees during its six-week duration, as officials have indicated.
