Embraer of Brazil Approves Extended Pause in E175-E2 Jet Development

On Tuesday, Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer announced in a securities filing that its board has sanctioned a further four-year suspension in the development program for the E175-E2 jet. The decision is attributed to ongoing discussions in the United States regarding the maximum take-off weight restriction for aircraft with up to 76 seats, as well as prevailing global market conditions and the sustained demand for the current E175 jet in North America.
