Dubai, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Elon Musk announced on Thursday that his AI chatbot, Grok 3, is in the final development stages and is set for release within a week or two.
During a video call at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Musk mentioned that "Grok 3 has very powerful reasoning capabilities, outperforming anything we're aware of based on the tests conducted so far."
As the founder of xAI to rival Microsoft-backed OpenAI and Google's Alphabet, Musk also co-founded OpenAI. Recently, a group of investors led by Musk acquired the assets of OpenAI's nonprofit entity, escalating tensions in the AI sector.
OpenAI's transition to a for-profit organization has faced opposition from Musk, who is concerned about the non-profit status being eliminated entirely. This move has sparked legal disputes between Musk and OpenAI.
Musk, who leads the Department of Government Efficiency under President Trump, proposed substantial reductions in government spending to boost economic growth without causing inflation.
In discussions at the conference, UAE AI Minister Omar Al Olama and Musk explored potential collaborations, including the "Dubai Loop", an underground high-speed transport system likened to a wormhole by Musk.
Regarding global affairs, Musk advised the United States to refrain from intervening in other countries' affairs, emphasizing a policy of non-interference. This statement came in response to Trump's controversial remarks about the Gaza strip.
