Eleven People Killed in Southern Mexico Bus Accident

Eleven people died and at least 12 were injured in southern Mexico on Monday morning after their bus overturned, as reported by authorities in the state of Oaxaca. The cause of the accident, which took place outside the small town of Santo Domingo Narro, is under investigation according to a statement from the state government.

Oaxaca Governor Salomon Jara expressed condolences to the victims' families, promising support during this challenging time. State's interior minister, Jesus Romero, indicated in a radio interview that the bus, with over 40 passengers, was en route to the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in Mexico's south. He mentioned that the passengers appeared to be returning home after attending an event hosted on Sunday by President Claudia Sheinbaum in Mexico City.
