Dell Technologies reported a 10% reduction in headcount in fiscal 2025, reaffirming its commitment to diversity and inclusion. As of January 31, the company employed approximately 108,000 people, down from 120,000 a year prior, as it continued efforts to cut costs through limited external hiring and employee reorganizations.
The annual report maintained its language on diversity and inclusion, stating a commitment to equal employment opportunity and the implementation of inclusive policies to achieve these goals.
In recent discussions, the President has characterized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives as discriminatory and suggested that the Department of Justice may investigate their legality.
Dell also reported a decline in its workforce in fiscal year 2024.
In February, the company noted a decrease in its adjusted gross margin rate for fiscal year 2026, attributing it to increased costs associated with building AI servers in a highly competitive market.
