A severely damaged scroll from Herculaneum has been digitally reconstructed, offering the first glimpse inside in 2,000 years. Using X-ray imaging and artificial intelligence, scientists virtually unfolded the scroll, unveiling text within. Additional efforts are required to completely interpret the scroll's contents, but initial findings show great promise. Brent Seales, co-founder of the Vesuvius Challenge, expressed their excitement over the successful imaging of the scroll.
