U.S. oil giant Chevron is lobbying Washington for additional time to wind down its operations in Venezuela following the revocation of its license to pump oil in the country by the Trump administration, according to the Wall Street Journal.
CEO Mike Wirth recently held private discussions with members of Trump's cabinet, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, as reported by the WSJ.
Chevron did not respond to a request for comment.
