CERN has confirmed the technical feasibility of the $17 billion Future Circular Collider, which will feature a 91-kilometer tunnel, three times larger than the existing collider. Construction could commence in the 2030s, with initial operations expected to begin in the mid-2040s.
The new collider intends to investigate dark matter, antimatter, and fundamental physics mysteries, offering eight times the energy of current capabilities and potentially transforming our understanding of the universe's composition.
