The Pacific Palisades area suffered some of the worst damage, with a wind-fueled inferno expanding from several hundred acres to over 15,000 acres in size within a few days. The picturesque neighborhood, nestled against the Santa Monica Mountains and cascading down to the Pacific Ocean beaches, was left in ruins.

Affected celebrities shared their heartbreak, with actor James Woods breaking down on CNN as he recounted the loss of his Pacific Palisades property, and Billy Crystal expressing devastation over the destruction of his family home since 1979. Paris Hilton also mourned the loss of her Malibu residence, emphasizing the emotional toll of the devastating event.

Other notable personalities like Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Miles Teller, Sir Anthony Hopkins, and John Goodman were also impacted by the wildfires, each sharing their own stories of loss and resilience. The fires have not only affected homes but also significant landmarks, like the Palisades Charter High School and various star-studded events in the entertainment industry, including Oscar nominations being postponed.
