BMW to Incorporate Huawei Smart Connectivity System in Chinese-Made Cars by 2026

BMW Group announced on Monday that it will incorporate Huawei's HiCar, a mobile app that connects devices with vehicles, into its newly produced models in China starting in 2026. Through a partnership with Huawei, BMW aims to develop intelligent applications using the Harmony operating system for drivers utilizing Huawei devices in the country. The company also stated that it is collaborating with suppliers to enhance cooperation across different cycles and facilitate the seamless integration of Chinese partners into BMW's global innovation system.
