Barclays' global head of securitized products, Scott Eichel, will be leaving the bank, confirmed a spokesperson on Tuesday.

Eichel is stepping down after seven years of successfully advancing the bank's strategy. The spokesperson stated to Reuters, "After seven years of delivering solid progress against our strategy, Scott Eichel will be stepping down from his role... and will be taking some much-deserved personal time off." Eichel assumed the position of head of securitized products for markets at Barclays in August 2018.

The news of Eichel's departure follows the recent appointment of David Garner as the new managing director and global head of securitized products bond trading at Barclays, based in New York. Garner previously worked at Atlas SP Partners before joining Barclays.
