On Monday, in Marseille, France, three projectiles were hurled over the perimeter wall of Russia's consulate, with two of them exploding, according to Marseille police.
The incendiary devices were thrown into the consulate's gardens in the second-largest city in France. Investigators are examining the contents of the soda bottles used as projectiles.
The Kremlin stated that Russia was urging France to enhance security measures following the incident, which Moscow deemed a potential act of terrorism. Russia has called for a thorough French investigation, as reported by state news agency TASS.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and consulate staff were temporarily confined indoors while bomb disposal officers conducted safety checks.
This incident coincided with the third anniversary of the attack.
