Apple Condemns EU Porn App on AltStore

Apple condemned the Hot Tub app as a safety hazard for EU users, particularly children, and emphasized that it would not be permitted on its App Store. The app, dubbed the 'first Apple-approved porn app,' was distributed through AltStore, an alternative app marketplace in the EU. The oversight of app distribution by Apple shifted following the implementation of the Digital Markets Act, mandating the allowance of alternative app stores. Epic Games endorsed the Digital Markets Act, asserting that Apple exploits its position as a gatekeeper of rival apps and stores.
