Germany's economy, heavily dependent on inexpensive natural gas from Russia, is experiencing stagnation. Over the past two years, the economy has contracted due to escalating energy costs and competition from China. This situation has notably affected companies such as EBM-Papst, which saw a significant revenue decline of 4.1%.
Klaus Geissdoerfer, CEO of EBM-Papst, has called on the incoming government to establish a more business-friendly political environment to stimulate investment in infrastructure and education. Experts, including Marcel Fratzscher, emphasize that Germany's failure to adapt to technological advancements has been hindered by complacency.
